Kosciuszko born on Belarusian soil
For many local attendees, the display uncovered previously unfamiliar pages of global history. Kosciuszko, born on Belarusian soil and proudly declaring himself a “true Litwin” in 1778 wartime archives, was introduced not merely as a military technician, but as a genuine champion of human rights. Educational panels detailed his engineering feats — including his defensive designs at Bemis Heights and his oversight of West Point — as well as his visionary last will, in which he directed his entire American inheritance to fund the emancipation and education of enslaved Black Americans.

A global virtual forum hosted via Zoom connected members of the Belarusian diaspora, historians, and cultural enthusiasts from numerous countries across Europe and North America, who enriched the narrative by sharing deeply personal and substantive regional reflections.
